Are You an Annoying Mobile Phone User?

Do you Practice Proper Mobile Phone Etiquette?

Here in the west nearly everyone now has a mobile phone. But we all need to remember that around 50% of the worlds population have never received or made a telephone call.

This highlights how lucky we are to have access to affordable telecommunications and the technological gap that exists between the developed countries and those in the developing world.

But there are plenty of people who believe that mobile phones are actually more of a scourge and not very useful. Have you recently used any form of public transport?

I routinely travel by train to and from London and I’m forced to listen to various telephone conversations that, before the mobile phone revolution, would have never taken place. On my way home on the train from London each evening I’m forced to listen to people calling their partners simply to tell them that they are on the train. And every day I have to listen to the same people making the same pointless calls, just because they can. How did they manage before mobile phones?

I’m also often forced to listen to the conversations of teenagers who appear to speak a different language. Often, they seem to be discussing their boring, empty lives or scathingly criticizing an alleged friend’s dress sense or discussing boyfriends in unflattering terms. In one conversation that a young lady chose to share with the occupants of a packed commuter train she cheerfully derided a young man’s sexual prowess with grizzly attention to detail. As she proceeded to describe her experience in far too much detail everyone in the compartment was squirming with embarassment.

Inconsiderately forcing people to listen to one side of your mobile phone conversation is one way in which modern mobile phone use is anti-social. Another is those incredibly irritating and often far too loud ringtones that are supposed to sound like a popular tune but don’t.

Everyone needs to be reminded of how lucky they are to own a mobile phone. They need to be used considerately and ideally they should never be provided to people who use them to loudly describe their sex lives.

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
If you have a mobile phone you will definitely want some affordable mobile phone insurance. Similarly, if you have a laptop computer it would be wise to spend a little on some laptop insurance. You can protect all of your valuable gadgets and gizmos including cameras, iPhones and games consoles with some very affordable gadget insurance.

Sony Ericsson has struggled for a long time with its mobile phones as they often remained in the shadow of Nokia. However things have changed for the better during recent times with some really interesting cellphones from Sony Ericsson. Hereunder you can find three interesting phones from Sony Ericsson that is worth buying or waiting for.

First of all we have the W995 that have been released in May 2009. Fitted with a 2.6 inch display the phone provides a rather smooth operation even if it is smaller than the average size of screen available today. However the phone makes up for its weakness in other areas. As a Walkman phone, the W995 comes with the Shake control and SensMe feature to provide a complete user experience. This place the phone as top of the range in the entertainment category. Additionally the phone comes with a 8 MP camera providing users with some really good picture quality. A must for those desperate for an entertainment phone.

Another phone that is worth considering is the Satio. The phone comes with a 3.5 inch touchscreen display which is quite responsive. The main strength of this phone is based on its 12 MP camera. The camera feature comes complete with LED and xenon flash to guarantee you some really good pictures. The Satio comes with both a 3G and Wi-FI connection that will make connecting to the internet a breeze. The negative point is the flash that really lack power sometimes- a real pity for a 12 MP camera phone.

The XPERIA X10 is a really interesting phone from Sony Ericsson that is expected to launch in early 2010. This Sony Ericsson cellphone is based on Google’s operating system, Android and attempts to build on the success of the Xperia series. In terms of features you will have a 8 MP camera and a 4 inch touchscreen display. When it comes to connectivity the phone boast a Wi-Fi connection and 3G to make sure you stay connected wherever you are. The phone will also come with a built-in GPS receiver making it a welcoming addition to any busy traveler. In my opinion this is a phone that is worth waiting.

When Your Child Asks for a Cellphone

Nowadays, it’s not only adults that are focused on having the latest cellular phones; complete with the most advanced technology; coolest features and all the available applications that can be crammed into one small mobile communications gadget.

Kids too, have become hooked, for lack of a better term, to cellphones. They see their moms and dads clutching the coolest phone known to man and they want to have the same too; not only for its various applications but more so to show-off to their friends. It conveys some kind of statement for kids when they have the same stylish gadgets like everybody else.

SHOULD YOU ALLOW YOUR CHILD {TO OWN} A CELLPHONE?

What happens then when your child start to ask for one? Should you just concede without a second thought? There’s no question that young kids should really not be allowed to own a cellphone just yet. But for the older kids, it wholly depends on the parents’ judgment.

Cellphones are essential for communication and if you are out of the house most of the time and your children happen to be out too; with their friends or some school function; getting in touch with them whenever both parents and children are apart is important. Cellular phones will definitely make this simpler for everyone.

In addition, cell phones can be very useful also to children in times of emergencies.

TEACHING KIDS TO BE RESPONSIBLE

One way to turn this cellphone ownership subject into something positive is training children how to be responsible cellphone owners. Setting parameters as to their usage is a key element when considering giving kids their own cellphones. While listening to music and taking pictures may be some of the things that children want to be able to do with their phones; permitting them to surf the internet or chat without parental guidance should be something parents need to think twice about.

In this case, giving them a cellphone with only the bare necessities could be the answer. Likewise, giving these cellphones as rewards for doing well in school will teach children that they have to show good behavior in order to be permitted to have their own cellphones.

Lastly, one way to likewise show them about responsibility is training them to put aside allowance so they can buy their own prepaid loads; or both parents and kids can split the cost of the phone. There are many ways for parents to get something constructive from these tools.

Is it Possible for You to Do Without Your Cellphone?

Okay, that could be just a bit of an exaggeration but really, many people just can’t live through their days without having their handy and trusty cellphones close by.  How many people do you know who get all agitated and listless for the simple reason that they left their trusty cellphones at home?  They panic, they feel frustrated and their day is just basically ruined because their mobile phones are not nearyby.

This kind of burden – if you can call it that – affects a majority of people from across the globe, regardless of age, sex, culture or those belonging to any other demographic profile.

Before cellphones came, there were beepers; before there were beepers, there were just the usual telephone lines; and before there were telephone lines, people communicated through telegrams and letters sent by post.

The most vital advantage of cellphones of course is that they have made communications anywhere in the world so quick that no matter the distance, everyone somehow managed to stay in each other’s lives – keeping up-to-date with the latest happenings and basically just being in the loop.

Before cellphones came, everyone had to wait for days, even weeks to trade news via snail mail.  Sure, one can always make a phone call but if someone is thousands of miles away; overseas phone calls can be pretty expensive.

Thanks to the mobile phone technology, everyone get to exchange messages no matter how far apart they are from one another via SMS or Short Messaging System/Short Message Service – text messaging in more popular terms.

Today however, cellphones have gone far beyond text messaging and phone calls.  One by one, special features have been added to the regular cellphone in order to provide more services to the subscribers.

From calls and SMS, camera features were added and then music players followed; internet capability soon followed suit; wireless internet connection came after; and then online chatting; sending and receiving electronic mails plus other internet applications were all thrown in for good measure.

As if that wasn’t enough, you can now also watch their favorite videos and movies; and likewise watch their favorite TV shows.  Suffice it to say, cellular phones have evolved from simple communications tools to total entertainment packages in a small and very compact portable box.

If you want to, you can learn a lot more about cellphones online. You might for example wish to visit the website Mobiltelefoner to read more about the most modern cellphones and the amazing stuff they can do for you.
